FAQs

  • Do I need a rental car?

We recommend renting a car to explore the island freely, visit beaches, sights, and restaurants. Since we're on a steep hill, a small SUV is ideal for comfort yet easy parking. Upon booking, you'll receive a discount code for our recommended rental car company, which offers an extremely convenient pick and drop-off process!

  • I don't drive, can I take taxis?

Yes, of course! We do warn that taxis can be more expensive and less reliable than renting your own car. However, we provide direct contacts to our trusted official taxi members. Keep note that you can also combine both options. Rent a car to be free to explore, but take a taxi for a night out where you might want to cut loose a bit!

  • Will I be okay driving around there?

Driving around the island may feel different from what you're used to, but don’t worry—local drivers are accustomed to tourists. Take your time and you'll be fine. As for the mountain road up to the hotel? It can be intimidating at first, but most guests quickly adapt and come to enjoy it as part of the adventure!

  • How far are the beaches?

The nearest beaches are Friar's and Happy Bay (8 -10 min), Grand case (10-12 min), and Orient (16-20 min). The beauty of The Paradise Peak, is that we are away from it all, surrounded by nature and yet very centrally located making nothing on this island further than 25 minutes away!

  • If we want to stay in to dine, what are our options?

From Dec-March we have in-house dinning options 5-7 nights a week. Out of season, we work closely with a local version of Grubhub or Uber eats. They pick up from a wide selection of restaurants and deliver right to the hotel, lunch or dinner. Lastly, your in-room mini fridge and some basic kitchen amenities are always at your disposal.

  • Do you accommodate food allergies?

Daily breakfast includes a variety of pastries, jams, breads, cold cuts, scrambled eggs/bacon, whole milk/daily juice, and an assortment of fruits and cereals. With advanced notice, we will do our best to accommodate any and all food restrictions or allergies.

  • What is naturism and what can I expect?

Naturism is the desexualization of nudity, and that is exactly what we promote. It is about being in your most natural state, in nature, while freeing your mind and body. It's not about what you or anyone else looks like; quite opposite, appearances mean nothing because no one is even looking. We are all human beings, after all. For some, it’s not that deep; naturism is simply a means to the best tan you've ever had! Either way, you can expect an environment where everyone is very respectful of each other's boundaries and privacy.

  • I'm not a naturist, will I be comfortable?

Naturism is only practiced by the pool/jacuzzi area and is absolutely not mandatory. You can wear as little or as much as you like. However, you do have to be totally okay with others around you being nude. Perhaps you're new to this, maybe you're just curious or happy to do some skimpy tanning, or just totally unfazed by nudity but would rather keep your clothes on. It's honestly way more causal than you think and you might be surprised by how normal it seems.

  • I am a naturist, will I be comfortable?

We would hope so! The pool/jacuzzi area is clothing optional for you:) We care a great deal about protecting your space and overall experience. We want you to feel free to be entirely yourselves. We do ask that acceptance and tolerance go out to all folks and their varying levels of comfort surrounding naturism. Our aim is to create a space where everyone feels welcome and safe.
